CFBEGA AGM 25 November 2025

Last Updated: 26 October 2025

Our Annual General Meeting is fast approaching. The meeting will take place on Tuesday the 25th of November in the Rainbow Room at the Chiefs & PO's Mess from 1700 to 1900 hrs. Pizza will be served for those attending and the bar upstairs will be open.

Below are a couple items that will be on the agenda:

Our Treasurer, Stew Jeffery, has indicated that it’s time to step down after many years in this important role. If you are interested in this role or any other position on the executive, you are encouraged to show your willingness through nomination and attendance of this meeting. Volunteers are vital to help our club run successful for the upcoming year and into the future. Should a new Treasurer be chosen, Stew has agreed to mentor that person until they are comfortable in the new role.

A proposed constitution amendment is on the table for the Tournament/Event Cancellation Policy:As presently reads:                    The Association cancellation and refund policy is as listed below:

1. Members are expected to commit to the events during registration and complete payments no later than two weeks in advance of the event date, unless otherwise indicated during the registration process.

2. Members cancelling with two weeks notice (prior to the Association’s committal date, and with good reason) should be granted a full refund. Longer advanced notice is required for the road trip.

3. Members cancelling within two weeks of the event start date (or date advised for the annual road trip) will be subject to a Refund Review Board (RRB) where reasons provided by the member will be taken into consideration, however improper planning (time off from work, weddings, graduations, etc.) will not be considered as these events are normally well known and planned long in advance. Depending on the timeline and reasons provided, members can expect anywhere from a full refund or a pro-rated refund pending any costs borne by the Association due to the late cancellation and ability to backfill the position. The RRB will consist of the following Executive members:

      1. Tournament Director;
      2. Assistant Tournament Director;
      3. Treasurer; and
      4. President “or” Vice-President.

    Proposed change (in red):
